These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the access to and use of the website, digital platforms, communication channels, and services offered by GITM, having its registered address at GITM Campus, Sharda Institute of Technology and Management, Khed Lavel, Ratnagiri – 415708 (“GITM”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
These Terms are intended to comply with the applicable laws of India, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000, applicable rules thereunder, and the requirements of Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform), Google RCS Business Messaging, and other applicable communication platforms.
By accessing our website, communicating with us through WhatsApp, RCS, email, telephone, or any digital platform operated by GITM, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should discontinue the use of our services immediately.
1. Introduction
Welcome to GITM.
GITM is committed to providing professional educational, academic, institutional, administrative, communication, student support, admission-related, and information services through its official website and authorized communication channels.
These Terms establish the legal relationship between GITM and every visitor, applicant, student, parent, guardian, employee, partner, vendor, or any other person accessing our services.
Our objective is to ensure transparency, fairness, legal compliance, data protection, and responsible usage of our communication systems, including but not limited to WhatsApp Business API and Rich Communication Services (RCS).
2. Definitions
For the purpose of these Terms:
“Business” means GITM.
“Website” means every website, landing page, portal, mobile interface, application, or digital platform operated by GITM.
“User” means any visitor, applicant, student, parent, guardian, faculty member, staff member, vendor, or any person using our services.
“Services” include admissions assistance, enquiry handling, academic communication, notifications, support services, student information, educational programs, online forms, event registration, digital communications, and any other service offered by GITM.
“Content” means all text, graphics, logos, documents, images, videos, software, trademarks, learning materials, downloadable files, and other information available through our services.
“WhatsApp Services” refer to communications conducted using Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform.
“RCS Services” refer to communication delivered through Google Rich Communication Services.
“Personal Information” means any information capable of identifying an individual.
3. Acceptance of Terms
By using any service provided by GITM, you confirm that:
- You have read these Terms carefully.
- You agree to comply with these Terms.
- You agree to follow all applicable laws and regulations.
- You consent to electronic communication.
- You agree to receive official communication through authorized digital channels where consent has been provided.
If you are using our services on behalf of another individual or an organization, you confirm that you possess the authority to bind that person or organization to these Terms.
Continued use of our services shall constitute ongoing acceptance of these Terms, including any future amendments.

5. Eligibility

7. User Responsibilities

You agree that you shall not:

8. Payment & Billing Terms
Certain educational programs, application processes, certifications, events, workshops, or institutional services offered by GITM may require payment of applicable fees.
Where payments are required:
- All fees shall be communicated clearly before payment.
- Payments must be made through approved payment methods.
- Users are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds.
- Applicable taxes shall be charged wherever required by law.
- Transaction charges imposed by payment gateways may apply.
- Receipts may be issued electronically.
Unless otherwise specified:
- Payments are non-transferable.
- Refund eligibility shall be governed by the applicable refund policy or institutional regulations.
- Delayed payments may affect access to certain services.
- Incorrect payment information may delay processing.
GITM reserves the right to suspend pending applications or services until payment obligations have been fulfilled.
Any pricing displayed on our website is subject to correction in case of typographical or technical errors.
9. Subscription Renewal & Termination
Certain digital services, memberships, online programs, communication subscriptions, newsletters, or educational resources may operate on a subscription basis.
Where applicable:
- Subscription details will be disclosed before enrollment.
- Renewal terms will be communicated where applicable.
- Users may discontinue future subscriptions in accordance with the applicable cancellation process.
- GITM may suspend or discontinue subscription services due to operational, regulatory, technical, or administrative reasons.
GITM reserves the right to terminate or suspend access immediately if:
- These Terms are violated.
- Fraudulent activity is detected.
- Illegal conduct is suspected.
- Abuse of communication platforms occurs.
- Security risks arise.
- False information has been provided.
Termination shall not affect accrued legal rights or obligations existing prior to termination.
10. Use of WhatsApp Official API & RCS
To improve communication efficiency, GITM may use the official Meta WhatsApp Business Platform and Google Rich Communication Services (RCS) to communicate with users who have voluntarily shared their contact information or otherwise provided the necessary consent where required.
These communication channels may be used for purposes such as:
- Admission enquiry responses
- Application status updates
- Academic reminders
- Fee notifications
- Event invitations
- Student support
- Campus announcements
- Verification messages
- Document requests
- Appointment confirmations
- Administrative communications
- Emergency notifications where appropriate
By providing your mobile number and opting to receive communications, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Messages may be delivered through Meta WhatsApp Business or Google RCS infrastructure.
- Delivery of messages depends on network availability, platform functionality, device compatibility, and third-party systems.
- GITM does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free message delivery.
- You may opt out of non-essential promotional communications where such an option is provided; however, essential academic, administrative, legal, security, or service-related communications may continue where permitted by applicable law.
Users must not misuse these communication channels by sending unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, or malicious content to GITM or its representatives.
GITM reserves the right to restrict or discontinue communications with users who misuse these platforms or violate applicable laws or these Terms.
